The post-punk/new wave band The Psychedelic Furs started out in London in 1977. They released their self-titled debut album in 1979 and followed up with 'Talk Talk Talk', in 1981. Their following two albums 'Forever Now' (1982) and 'Mirror Moves' (1984) were both gold selling in the US. Perhaps their biggest claim to fame was when their 1981 single "Pretty in Pink" inspired John Hughes to make the 1986 movie of the same name. The track was re-recorded and included on the movie's platinum selling soundtrack. Later on the band have also experienced soundtrack success with "The Ghost in You" and "Love My Way" being used in respectively the series 'Stranger Things' and the movie 'Call Me By Your Name'.
