Karthik Kumar praises Vijay for Vijay Sethupathi's role in Master
Stand-up comedian and actor Karthik Kumar has appreciated Thalapathy Vijay for allowing Vijay Sethupathi to share the glory in Master. He wrote on his Twitter account, "Hats off to actor Vijay for allowing VJS to share the glory in #Master: it takes real guts and a sense of self assurance to allow this. It made the film work 100% better."
Master directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj shows both Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi locking horns with each other.
While Vijay played professor JD, a drunkard, Vijay Sethupathi essayed the role of Bhavani a menacing villain. Their action scenes were much appreciated by the audience and the characterisation of Bhavani helped elevate the movie to another level. The movie ends in such a way that while you appreciate Vijay one would also feel sorry for Vijay Sethupathi. While many mass heroes don't allow the villain character to share the success of the movie, Vijay is known for having powerful villains in his films. It's also true that his movies are made in such a way that the antagonists, too, are remembered well. Be it Prakash Raj as Muthupandi in Gilli, Vidyut Jammwal inThuppakki, and SJ Suryah in 'Mersal' as Daniel Arockiyaraj, Vijay had allowed his antagonists to unleash their potential and thereby enhancing the impact of the movie in the minds of the audience.
