Am I the only one who got the impression that David Giuntoli was talking to Ron Livingston on the phone and telling him that he wants to be with him instead of his wife?
That would be…interesting. I believe Eddie (David’s character) did ask or took Gary (James Roday’s character) out on a date in the past so it’s not too far fetched.
I definitely got that impression.
You’re definitely not the only one.
As much as I would like that twist, I’m 90% certain he was talking to Jon’s (Livngston) wife.
Or his assistant/maybe mistress.
No, he’s not in love with Livingston’s character. You’re connecting too many dots.
I love how in the fix the character says :you got me I am the Wolf” if anyone remembers he was the big bad wolf in 10th kingdom NBC miniseries.
Aside from that the million reasons why seems to have caught my attention
The first place my mind went since I loved him in that miniseries.
Some of these got my interested unlike NBC and Fox’s offerings.
agree. Better quality and didn’t make me quit on the trailer. However I don’t think all will make it (my money on the fix, and the rookie getting canceled)
Yeah. A Million Little Things, Single Parents, and Whiskey Cavalier are the ones that really got my interest.
Really looking forward to Single Parents, The Rookie, The Kids Are All Right, A Million Little Things and The Fix. I’m on the fence about Grand Hotel, but it reminds me of Jane the Virgin and Dynasty so I’ll at least watch the first two episodes before I officially make up my mind.
Agree on Grand Hotel. It gave me very Jane the Virgin vibes but less emotionally gripping and more soapy… in a bad way.
It’s not a traditional fit for primetime (on any of the big three networks that is) it would’ve been a much better for The CW.
I noticed you spelled all right correctly. I almost didn’t watch the trailer because the term “alright” really irritated me.
The most impressive thing about the trailers is that they are not region locked.
A million little things — maybe
The Fix – nope
Grand Hotel- no
The Kids Are Alright — No
The Rookie — Hard NO (serious Nathan Fillion — ick)
Single Parents — Seems funny
Whiskey Cavalier — Yes
Agreed about Fillion – can’t picture him as a serious cop. Kids are alright might be all right with the great Mary McCormack and Cudlitz.
Fillion is too long in the tooth for this show. Secondhand embarrassment is off the charts.
Except that’s the whole point of the show?

These look very promising. Grand Hotel does not remind me at all of thee show it was based on but instead a UPN show called South Beach with Lee Thompson Young and Vanessa Williams.
I loved South Beach! Was such a fun guilty pleasure. Canceled way too soon.
Kids are Alright looks ok…the other ones? meh
IMO ABS has the most interesting trailers this year
A Million Little Things looks like it would make me want to kill myself if i watched it… thats the most depressing trailer i’ve ever seen… the others are very generic.
Agreed. Too depressing for me.
It looked like it had potential but yes, I agree the trailer was depressing. It needed more positives to balance it out. I will check this out.
The Rookie seems less quippy and more real and honest than I was expecting. That could be a good thing. We’ll see.
I was expecting to be more charmed by Whiskey Cavalier, but the scenes they picked for that trailer didn’t exactly sparkle like I’d hoped. I’ll probably still check it out, though.
Looks a whole lot better than Fox and NBC’s new shows. I genuinely want to watch all of these.
Also, A Million Little Things looks especially good.
Most looking forward to Single Parents, Whiskey Cavalier (I wonder why they’re waiting until mid season? It seems like it could be a bit. Maybe they’re working around Lauren Cohen’s TWD schedule to allow her to wrap up her storyline?), and A Million Little Things (for a show that’s essentially “The Big Chill”, was hoping for a tone similar to the movie, something like Parenthood).

ABC has the best offerings thus far.
Whiskey Cavailer looks watchable, The Fix feels stale and the rest are complete rubbish.
It does look watchable but I’ll reserve judgment for when I actually watch the pilot. The trailer lacked substance.
Does anyone think this The Fix sound like Marcia Clark’s version of, if I got another shot at OJ?
YES! I thought the same thing! I give it a season, though.
Why is Nathan Fillion running like TJ Hooker?
I didn’t see your comment before posting mine, but yes! Exactly!
A Million Little Things looks like ABC’s “This Is Us” rip-off. . .
I missed Robin and Nathan so much. Looking forward to their shows.
If everyone on the show was depressed and suicidal.
I’m more interested in what they’ve got coming for midseason instead of the fall which is a shame because midseason shows tend to have a harder time getting ratings. Though there are some exceptions.
Same. There’s no new show I plan to watch this fall. All those I’m interested in are midseason, on every network.
I was already sold on A Million Little Things, and then they put Dashboard Confessional in the trailer. So much yes
Whiskey Cavalier looks like fun. A Million Little Things looks great.
I don’t think Rookie is going to solve ABC’S Tuesdays at 10 problems. That clip was so underwhelming that i have absolutely no intention of watching it as much as i’m a Nathan Fillion fan.
Grand Hotel looks bad.
Finally a Network with new shows that look promising. So far none of the trailer on other networks made me want to tune in but there a couple her like SINGLE PARENTS, THE ROOKIE, THE KIDS ARE ALRIGHT, A MILLION LITTLE THINGS
A Million Little Things and The Fix grabbed my attention. Couldn’t even make it through the trailer for The Kids Are Alright.
Scandal ruined Scott Foley for me, so might have to pass on Whiskey Cavalier.
The Whiskey Cavalier trailer was my favorite. Finally, a network does a *fun* drama this season. Great cast, and I’m not a Scott Foley fan usually but I even liked him here. Nice chemistry, good action, supporting cast has presence. I can’t wait to watch this one.
I love D.Giuntoli, but I’m afraid that A Million Little Things isn’t my kind of show. There were more light/humorous moments and it was less sappy and emotionally manipulative than the NBC new dramas, I’ll give it that. I might chek it out anyway.
The Rookie, I didn’t know they also rebooted TJ Hooker. It had nothing special and the couple grosses me out. But it took itself less seriously than the first teaser trailer so I think it could do well against long in the tooth NOLA and pure tearjerker New Amsterdam.
The writing of The Fix looks much better, but I’m afraid it’ll be this season’s Ten Days in the Valley. I’ll watch it anyway since I love the cast and they didn’t disappoint. Tunney was great.
Grand Hotel was completely silly, but in a fun campy way. Why not.
I adore Mary McCormack so I watched the Kids are all right trailer only for her. She’s fab in it but definitely, single cam isn’t my thing. Writing seems meh. Pass.
Whisky Cavalier and Single Parents look fun
I’m surprised so many people like Single Parents. So many overused network sitcom jokes had me rolling my eyes. I’m a single mom myself so I thought I could relate but the show looks seriously awful.
Oh, ABC. You know how to market to me. I will be checking out all of these.
