Bought a reel to reel recorder that was advertised as "in good working order" and did not have the financial resources to take it to the tech guy straight away. Several weeks after I took it to him and the machine was in a bad way. Contacted Ashton mill and was told it's been such a long time and the machine might have been tempered with, basically calling me a liar. Terrible people to deal with. Never again!!

Ashton Mill was recommended to us by the estate agent who we engaged to sell my mother's house. We are very glad we received this recommendation. Jon is professional and obliging. Nothing has been too much trouble. Jon arranged clearance for us, as requested, in three stages. The final house clearance was carried out without us even being present.

Such a lovely company from start to finish. Recently helped with the house clearance of my late neighbours property. I wish I had found them sooner to help with the whole clearance, valuations and selling of valuables. From my first call, to initial visit, all correspondence and the team who came to do the removal, all team were punctual, polite and professional. Will definitely recommend.

As one gets older, the thought of clearing your house becomes increasingly less attractive. To find a company which offers the complete package is great. To go round the house with an experienced valuer is very helpful and it gives you a good guide on how to proceed, and a good guide into what is worth something and what has no value. It is a good grounding and gets rid of overblown expectations! I would be happy to recommend this company unreservedly.

Ashton Mills provided a wonderfully cheerful and effective workforce. The property was left looking really nice. Although it seemed expensive, the two solid days' work actually cost me less than twice what my other removal men charged me for half a day's work!

Ethical company and friendly respectful staff. Honest in what prices furniture, kitchen stuff, ornaments, garden equipment etc might expect from house clearance if sold, I had checked similar items on eBay beforehand. They sorted and disposed of items responsibly into general waste, recycling (to sell or donate to local charity shops), special category waste and hazardous waste (eg fridges, tv). I would use them again.

Ashton Mill cleared my father's home of 50 years after his death. They were easy to work with, more than courteous, professional, prompt and efficient, and they cleaned up to an unexpectedly wonderful degree after the job. It was just a delight working with them, doubly so since it was at such a difficult time. I cannot recommend the firm highly enough.

Very impressed with the efficiency of the team that arrived to clear my mother's property and garden. They completed in approximately four hours something which would have taken us weeks to do given the current health situation. We couldn't be more pleased with the result and will most certainly use this company again for other work next year. Highly recommended.

Excellent service from start to finish. Nothing was too much trouble and careful consideration was given throughout. It was most useful also to have unwanted items taken away for auction or clearance. The team took great care, were swift with their packing and unloading and removed their shoes indoors as much as possible. I would rate them highly.
