DSC03846Ocaya James Oballim is the National Board Chairperson of Uganda Pioneer Association-Uganda, he also serves as the Branch Secretary.  He has been a member of Uganda Pioneer Association-Gulu Branch since 2010. James holds a Master in peace and conflict studies and has over five years of development work with different organizations at different capacities. Currently he is a program manager at the Diocese of Northern Uganda based in Gulu, Northern Uganda were he oversee the development programs of the Diocese.

Kilambus James has been a UPA, Gulu Branch member for 11 years, and a chairperson for the past 9. He has been the head teacher at Koch lii Primary School since 2006, and was a teacher at Kiju Hill Primary School for 2 years before. James has also been a civil engineer for a local construction company since 1997. He is certified in teaching from Gulu Core Primary Teacher’s College and has a certificate for civil engineering from Daniel Coboni Vocational Institute. James also is the founder of Acholi Youths of Farmer Association (AYOFA), and he conducts research in post-conflict peace building. James is from Palaro sub-country, northern Uganda.

ProfilePictureWhen he is not teaching language and cross culture, Adonga Moses Opio is the treasurer. He is a trained teacher and theatre professional, and has a BA in Drama from Makere University, Kampala and has a diploma in Secondary Education from Kyambogo University, Kampala. Moses also works with the U.S. Peace Corps as a language and cross-culture facilitator. Over the years, Moses has volunteered with many prominent organizations including Red Cross, World Food Program, World Health Organization, Norwegian Refugee Council, and African Medical Research and Education Foundation.

samPakinya Samuel is currently serving as the interim Branch Executive Secretary, and has a long history in education. Sam worked as an educational assistant II at Kitgum Public School for the Kitgum District local government from 2002-2010. He also worked as a social worker focusing on awareness prevention of HIV/AIDS to pupils along with returnees from the war. Sam aided in providing counseling and guidance to pupils with peace club activities through sports and drama. Sam is a qualified teacher and is currently pursuing a national diploma in purchasing and supply management of Makerere University Business School.
