Tamar Braxton and WE tv are officially cutting ties, following Braxton’s call out of the network over its “excessive and unfair” work demands.

In a new statement from WE tv, obtained exclusively by Variety, the network says it “will work with her representatives to honor her request to end all future work for the network.” The decision comes just one day after Braxton laid out allegations that the network “betrayed…overworked, and underpaid” her.

Braxton currently has two series set up at WE tv: “Braxton Family Values” (which has aired six seasons to date) and the upcoming project “Get Ya Life!” Sources close to both say that Braxton will appear in a few episodes of “Braxton Family Values” season 7, which started production before Braxton’s suicide attempt and subsequent comments. As for “Get Ya Life!,” WE tv already delayed the show’s debut earlier this week, and sources say the show’s six episodes (which have all completed shooting) will still air as planned from Sept. 10.

Braxton has been up until now the second highest-paid talent in the history of WE tv, behind only her sister Toni.

“Tamar Braxton has been an important part of our network family for more than a decade. As she focuses on her health and recovery at what is clearly a difficult and personal time, we will work with her representatives to honor her request to end all future work for the network. We wish her nothing but the best,” reads the WE tv statement.

In an Instagram post yesterday, Braxton also made a series of damning remarks about the general state of the reality TV industry, which she has been a prominent part of for the last decade. She highlighted the need for there to be a union for reality TV personalities, given that they currently have “no formal representation that protects our labor, our rights, our voices.”

Braxton was taken to hospital on July 16, after LAPD responded to an emergency call from her Ritz-Carlton Residences in downtown Los Angeles. In a lengthy Instagram post, Braxton said she is now “on an irreversible path to healing” after an attempt to take her own life.
