These video PSAs are part of our 5th grade Visual Arts-Critical Media Literacy curriculum. 5th graders learned how to read media using 5 critical questions (i.e.: who is the audience? what is the intended message? what values are represented?, etc). Students learned about and applied the visual language and processes of media making (video shots, angles, storyboarding and editing) to the creation of PSAs on a research topic of their choice. They presented their films at LFCSA's 2015 Film Festival.
