The Carry A. Nation Home and Museum, also known as the Carrie Nation House, is located in Medicine Lodge, Kansas. This historic house was once the home of Carrie A. Nation, a prominent leader of the temperance movement. The house offers a unique insight into the life and times of this influential figure.
Carrie A. Nation resided in this small brick house, located at 211 W. Fowler Ave. (US 160), at the corner with Oak Street, in Medicine Lodge, from 1889 to 1902. Visitors can explore the house and get a sense of the environment in which Nation lived during her active years in the temperance movement.
The site has since been reopened as the Medicine Lodge Stockade Museum. A ticket to the museum also includes entrance to the Carrie Nation House, providing visitors with a comprehensive experience of both the house and the stockade.
