    TASTE OF SEOUL 2022

    The Seoul Metropolitan Government (SMG) announced the “2022 Taste of Seoul 100” list of restaurants and bars recommended by domestic and international food critics, introducing the diverse gourmet culture of Seoul.

    This year’s Taste of Seoul 100 is categorized into 7 cuisines, comprising Korean (23), Western (26), Asian (10), Grill (8), Plant-based (9), Cafe & Dessert (11), Bar & Pub (13).

    This year also features a shortlist of 50 plant-based restaurants in Seoul to promote a healthy vegetarian culture, as vegetarianism is not only trending in global food tourism, but also well embodied in Seoul’s traditional food and temple dishes.

    The city has also produced printed guides in Korean and English for citywide distribution from food service establishments and hotels to embassies, tourist information centers and global cultural centers.

    Taste of Seoul 2022 will also be held as an offline event for a week from Fri, Sep. 30 to Thu, Oct. 6—after two years of virtual events amidst the COVID-19 pandemic—for participants to fully explore and experience the gourmet culture of Seoul.
