Marine foods have attracted a great attention from consumer as a source of high amounts of important nutritional components to the human diet (Simopoulos, 1997). However, in recent years the fishing sector has suffered from dwindling stocks of traditional species as a result of dramatic changes in their availability. This has prompted fish technologists and the fish trade to pay more attention to aquaculture techniques as a source of fish and other seafood products (Josupeit et al., 2001).

LIPID DAMAGE DURING FROZEN STORAGE OF WHOLE JACK MACKEREL (TRACHURUS SYMMETRICUS MURPHYI2006 •
The damage on the lipid fraction of whole jack mackerel (Trachurus symmetricus murphyi, Carangidae) during 120 days of frozen storage was studied. The chemical composition was determined through proximate analysis. Lipid quality deterioration was evaluated by measuring free fatty acids, peroxide values, conjugated dienes and p-anisidine values. Also, the total volatile base-nitrogen value was determined to check the bacterial activity during frozen storage. The results showed that jack mackerel is a medium-fat fish species with 74–78% moisture, 3–5% fat (crude) with 20–27% polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA). The lipid hydrolysis was the major damage during frozen storage, with a correlation coefficient of 0.96 after 75 days of storage. The normal oxidative rancidity (primary and secondary products) present in fillets of different species was not observed in the whole fish. The autolytic changes were predominant, because bacterial activity was low during the entire storage time.

External Inspections: Vetting Inspaections
UNIVERSITY OF PIRAEUS DEPARTMENT OF MARITIME STUDIES M.SC. IN SHIPPING Vetting Inspections, Flag Inspections & Green Award Organization2022 •
Vetting inspection is an assessment carried out on a vessel by a trained inspector who tests whether the vessels enforces international safety standards and takes pollution prevention measures. This will enable a potential charterer to choose easier the right vessel to carry their cargo. The suitability of the vessel is assessed by multiple factors such as the equipment maintenance, the training and preparation of the crew, the available emergency plans etc. During 70s and 80s we observe an increase in independent tanker owners that is linked directly with the increase of the oil spill accidents. The formation of OCIMF came as a reaction to the global fear about sea pollution from oil industry. OCIMF offers a number of inspection tools (SIRE, OVID, TMSA, MTIS, BIRP) to measure the risk of a vessel carrying oil, gas and chemicals, and to assess if the vessel is operating safely. During the inspection the certified inspector assess among others the Pollution Prevention Plan, the Safety Management Plan and the crew is familiar with safety equipment to be used in emergency situations as well as the general condition of the vessel.

Document Fraud DetectionIn today scenario for data and fund transfer we are mainly depended on the internet. So prevention of fraud, abuse and data alteration through internet has become a major concern of many organizations. Our paper focuses the direction towards the document fraud detection. In this direction we proposed an efficient approach where we send the encrypted data via internet and maintain the log table of the data sends. The log table contains the information about individual word and numeric value along with the position and count. If any attacker attacks the data for updation or any violation again a log table is created based on the word as well as the position of the word and count. Our algorithm check the alteration based on the position and the frequency count. If any mismatch is detected server alerts the client about the document attack and resend the document to the client. The above scenario is explained by the result analysis which shows the effectiveness of the approach.

This paper seeks to explore and analyze the different manifestations of eugenics in modern societies. First, the modern tools of eugenics will be outlined. Next, an analysis of the different levels of eugenic activities, i.e., the global, national, and individual level, will be presented. Finally, the basic errors of eugenic thinking and alternatives to eugenic thinking will be discussed.
