Lineage.  Established as the Air Reserve Records Center on 30 Nov 1956.  Activated on 1 Jan 1957.  Redesignated Air Reserve Personnel Center on 1 Sep 1965.  Status changed from a subordinate of Continental Air Command to a separate operating agency of the United States Air Force on 1 Aug 1968.  Status changed from a separate operating agency of the United States Air Force to a subordinate of Air Force Reserve on 1 Jul 1978.  Status changed from a subordinate of Air Force Reserve to a separate operating agency of the United States Air Force on 1 May 1983.  Status changed from a separate operating agency to a field operating agency of the United States Air Force on 5 Feb 1991.  Status changed from a field operating agency of the United States Air Force to a subordinate of Air Force Reserve Command on 15 Sep 1997.
