Award-winning author to give publishing advice

Award-winning author Jan Sykes will give self-publishing advice and more in an upcoming presentation for Texas High Plains Writers.

Sykes will speak at 10 a.m. Nov. 21 at Amarillo Senior Citizen's Center, 1217 S. Tyler St.

Her latest novel, "The Convict and the Rose," won first place in biography fiction from Texas Association of Authors.

She also will speak on family or ancestral stories and what to do with them, marketing and more.

Admission is free for club members and $5 for others. Registration begins at 9:30 a.m.
