In summary, these hinges are very sturdy with a very good amount of adjustability in the spring tension. My friends purchased a funky Geodesic Dome home and commissioned me to build a custom half door to block their dogs from going up to the third floor. I used these spring loaded hinges instead of using a conventional door handle to keep the door closed. You can vary the spring load to match the door weight. I loaded the springs with the least amount of tension and they worked perfectly. The hinges came with a number of different installation screws all of which seemed too short for me so I ended up using longer screws, which is the only reason I gave 4 stars for sturdiness. Otherwise, they are tough, tough, tough hinges. (Don't mind the picture of my leg in the short video included.)

I tried to tighten my hinge from the 90's on my garage door so it completely shut. Instead I stripped out the top (slotted screwdriver) and it would not self close at all now. The allen key in the top of this one is so much better, took me 5min to install and adjust. I ended up using both on one door because of the weather stripping on the bottom of the door. Also one of the only hinges that came with the screws for a metal frame (along with the screws for a wood frame).
