Perfect for my son's research for his Native American report. It was interesting for me as well. It really provided a more complete picture of the Pomo people than any other book we looked at.

Great resource.

I live just south of the Pomo Indian country. Have read plenty on the Chumash, but was hoping for a little more about the Pomo. The book itself is interesting but really doesn't give me more explicit information on the Pomo. Being adjacent to the Chumash, customs, religion, etc., are very close.

If you are unfamiliar with the California Indians, specifically the Pomo, this is a great book for starters. It should pique your interest, and want you to look for more information.

There were two places where it looked like the box cutter sliced through the cover.

One of my best friends is Pomo, so I was very motivated to read this but I think that when you review a book you review the whole "package". I am giving tis a one star because the type in it is so very small, I simply cold not read a word. I am giving it a two because I liked the map and the pictures. If you have bad eyes, this is unreadable

Too much opinion. Stick to facts. Also it’s in broken English. Who edited this??
