Use refractory mortar to lay firebrick in fireplaces, woodstoves, coalstoves, barbecue stoves and fire pits, to set chimney systems, repair brocken firebrick and firebox chambers. Product is a liquid brown colored mortar without odor and becomes gray after firing. It is necessary to mix the mortar carefully before use. If it separate during storage, never discard liquid that has pooled on top of the product. Just mix this liqued back into the mortar. Clean all dirt and foreign matter away from the surface to be glued. Wet every bonded surface with some water before glue it. This joints the best result. Store product indoors at temperatures of 45F to 95F. Protect product from freezing. Guaranteed shelf life is 1 year under normal conditions of storage and transportation. After bucket opening mortar should be used during 6-8 hours to provides its best specifications. In case of interruption in work, bucket must be closed tightly to avoid rapid drying. Attention! - Refractory mortar does not develop strenght during the drying process unlike cement and gypsum mortars do - Do not make a fire until complete drying process - Avoid getting moisture on the joints during the drying process - Do not paint the masonry surface and mortar after their complete drying and firing - Do not plaster not tile the heating unit until complete drying and firing Product is not a subject to mandatory certification and absolutely harmless to human health.
