About the author

Todd Dalotto is a pioneer in hemp foods, cannabis horticultural research, and medicinal cannabis. After founding the United States’ first hemp food business, Hungry Bear Hemp Foods, he wrote the world’s first hempseed cookbook, The Hemp Cookbook: From Seed to Shining Seed. Soon after Oregon became the second state to legalize the medicinal use of cannabis, he founded The Compassion Center, Oregon's first medical clinic, support, & education center for cannabis patients. He earned a degree in Horticultural Research from Oregon State University, Chairs the Oregon Health Authority's Advisory Committee on Medical Marijuana (ACMM), Chairs the ACMM's Horticulture, Research & Safety Committee, and has served on various legislative and administrative advisory committees related to the Oregon Medical Marijuana Program. He is currently President of CAN! Research, Education & Consulting (www.CanResearch.net) in Corvallis, Oregon, where he innovates and implements protocol for the scientific research of cannabis, teaches, and consults businesses & individuals on a broad range of cannabis-related topics. His vast experience in cannabis science, politics, and public policy makes Todd a valuable resource as a teacher, consultant, scientist, and court-qualified expert witness, specializing in Cannabis.
