The Ulefone Armor 23 Ultra is the latest rugged smartphone the company announced, and it launched at MWC 2023 in Barcelona. The company refers to this phone as the “ultra-rugged” smartphone. It is IP68/IP69K and MIL-STD-810H certified.
The Ulefone Armor 23 Ultra has a “Nano-Texture Glass Cover”
There’s a lot to like here, actually. The phone does look quite interesting. Its backplate looks like carbon fiber has been applied, it looks very nice. Ulefone says that this is a “Nano-Texture Glass Cover”, though.
There is also a rather large camera island on the back, which includes three cameras. The phone’s shape is also rather interesting, as its top and bottom sides are not flat, they basically rise into a single spot in the center. This does give the phone a different look for sure
Having in mind this is a rugged phone, its bezels are not thick at all. All the physical buttons sit on the right-hand side of the device, while a fingerprint scanner is included under the display.
The phone also includes 16GB of RAM, and a frame made out of titanium
Its specs are nothing to scoff at either. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 fuels the Ulefone Armor 23 Ultra, while the phone includes 16GB of RAM. Ulefone also made sure to include plenty of storage, which is why you’ll find 1TB on the inside.
This handset even offers two-way satellite messaging, and a frame made out of titanium. It has a 6.67-inch fullHD+ (2400 x 1080) display with a 120Hz refresh rate.
You’ll find a 7,000mAh battery on the inside, while 120W charging is supproted
A giant 7,000mAh battery sits on the inside of this phone, while 120W charging is supported. Android 13 comes pre-installed on the Ulefone Armor 23 Ultra.
When it comes to cameras, a 100-megapixel main camera is included, and it’s backed by a 16-megapixel ultrawide camera. A “5x telephoto camera” is also included on the back, but we don’t have the details.
An under-display camera also made the cut
On the front side of the phone, you’ll find a 16-megapixel camera, but it’s placed under the display. Ulefone also released a promo video for this phone, which you can check out below. We still don’t have the availability details. Ulefone did mention this is a “concept” device, even though the company seems to be planning to make it available. Ulefone added that the “Ulefone Armor 23 Ultra will set a new precedent for rugged smartphones”.
