CHICAGO (670 The Score)  Bears tight end Cole Kmet suffered a knee injury in his team's 27-16 win against the Cardinals on Sunday and didn't return to action afterward.

Kmet went down late in the first half and was in clear pain after hauling in his fourth reception of the game. He had also been playing through a quad injury, which he suffered during practice Thursday. The Bears initially ruled Kmet as questionable to return, then later downgraded his status to doubtful.

The initial belief was "positive" from the postgame diagnosis, head coach Matt Eberflus said. The team should know more later this week. Eberflus gave his Bears players Monday and Tuesday off to celebrate the Christmas holiday.

Kmet had posted a career-best 107 receiving yards prior to his injury.
