|Detectives have released new details about how they found a triple homicide suspect from Mississippi in eastern Arizona and what led up to the trooper shooting. Investigators said they were tracking his phone and then Arizona law enforcement found his car near the New Mexico border. DPS said he displayed a gun and that's when he was shot and killed.

|A triple homicide suspect from Mississippi was killed in a shootout with Arizona Department of Public Safety troopers early Monday, police in Ridgeland, Miss., confirmed.
The Arizona Department of Transportation reported Monday morning that U.S. Route 191 between Morenci and Clifton was closed due to a “law enforcement incident.” The highway is shut down between mileposts 167 and 164.
DPS confirmed the closure was regarding a trooper-involved shooting but did not elaborate further.
