5 hidden gems from BTS Island: IN THE SEOM you need to check out

Welcome to BTS Island, a relaxing paradise amidst a beautiful sea where the members of BTS roam free... to dance and throw bananas at each other. 

The award-winning pop group just released their latest game BTS Island: IN THE SEOM with HYBE. Developed and inspired by BTS themselves, the new title is an interactive match puzzle game that follows the story of the seven members as they land on a deserted island. To progress the story, players must beat every level and help the 'Butter' hitmakers with their new adventure. 

Beyond challenging puzzles, the game also features an array of activities that you can enjoy while waiting for your hearts to refill. From decorating your island to dressing up BTS, it's a fun time on this little paradise; just look how Jungkook himself is dressing up his fellow members and decorating his island. 

BANDWAGON TV

The game also includes the track 'Our Island' which was produced by BTS' SUGA, marking his first game OST as a producer. 

As a big fan of adorable mobile games and a bigger fan of BTS, I downloaded BTS Island: IN THE SEOM the moment it got released into the world. While it was exciting to match up seashells and strawberries, the fun truly began when I learned that you could pick up the members and make them interact with props and each other.

On my first day of playing the game, I'm pretty sure I spent more time watching RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook roam around and live their cute animated lives. After spending a couple of hours beating levels and dropping the entirety of BTS into the ocean for fun (don't worry, they can swim hehe), here are some hidden gems from BTS Island: IN THE SEOM you can check out. 

JUST BTS THINGS

The moment the members land on this mysterious island, they're pretty much off on their own to do whatever it is they do. And if you watch them long enough, you'll catch them do some strange things—which are actually inspired by real-life BTS moments. 

For RM, you'll catch him doing his silly dance that was once caught on an episode of BANGTAN BOMB a couple of years ago while Jin does his little dance number from the music video of 'Butter' and j-hope does his iconic excited wiggle. 

Ever the active maknae, you'll catch Jungkook practising his boxing moves while SUGA does the exact opposite by lying down wherever on the island he pleases. All as Jimin and V run around the island living their best, mischievous lives—I swear they run faster than the other members. 

You can also tap on the members to get some of their iconic lines, including Jin singing his iconic track 'Super Tuna', V having a crisis about whether his representative animal is a bear or tiger, or Jimin giving gentle reminders to ARMY to be happy. 

MEMBER INTERACTIONS

The moment I learned that you could pick up the members and make them interact with one another, I spent a good hour just pairing everyone. As expected, each interaction was adorable and paralleled a lot of the interactions the members have in real life. There was no doubt in my mind that BTS really had a hand in developing BTS Island: IN THE SEOM. 

While there's a lot to point out, my personal favourites have got to be j-hope throwing a banana at Jungkook, and V and Jin singing 'Butter' together. 

STACKING UP BTS

If you drop the members just right on one another, you can stack them up and create a cute little tower of all their heads. I personally have never gotten to do it because there's always one member running around a little too fast for me—usually Jimin or V, haha. 

ARMY STAND DANCE PARTY

As a little welcome gift to the island, IN THE SEOM gives fans an 'ARMY Stand' decorative item which you can then place wherever you want on your island. When you drop a member onto the stand, they'll start dancing to a BTS hit, be it 'Blood Sweat & Tears' or their latest lead single 'Yet To Come (The Most Beautiful Moment)'. 

'FIRE' AT THE CAMPFIRE

Once you start reaching the end of Day 1, you'll soon be tasked to help the members start a campfire and fittingly the moment you drop a member near the pit, they'll start dancing to 'FIRE'. It's probably my favourite easter egg of the game so far.
