Japanese rockers RADWIMPS released their highly anticipated new album, ANTI ANTI GENERATION, on Dec. 12, and shared the music video for a track from the set called “Nakidashisodayo” featuring singer-songwriter Aimyon.
The title of the poignant duet means “I’m about to cry” in English, and Noda and Aimyon sing of regret and longing while swaying on swings over water in the Kento Yamada-helmed visuals.
“Oh baby, I almost mistakenly called somebody else your name again today,” Noda admits as he rocks gently back and forth over his wavering reflection, while Aimyon muses, “I know I’m stupid/ Oh baby, but it doesn’t feel right unless you’re the one telling me.”

At first they take turns singing the chorus — “This courage of mine, that a bit of rain could wash away, is about to make me cry” — then together, as the song builds and dancers join in to visually express their heartrending emotions.
ANTI ANTI GENERATION, the band’s first new album in two years, also includes tracks featuring ONE OK ROCK frontman Taka, New York-based rapper Miyachi, and SOIL & “PIMP” SESSIONS’ Tabu Zombie.
RADWIMPS also released a live DVD/Blu-Ray of its Road to Catharsis Tour 2018 from June.
