The multinational company is opening a flex warehouse and office facility in a Columbus-area suburb, where it will create 30 new jobs.

A global company that services the life science industry is expanding into the Columbus region, where it will create dozens of new jobs.

Ultimate Solutions USA, part of Puerto Rico-based Ultimate Solutions Corp., will establish flex warehouse and office space at 845 Claycraft Road in Gahanna, the company announced Monday. Ultimate Solutions will invest an initial $300,000 in the space, which is located in a Gahanna office park.

The project will bring 30 full-time jobs to Gahanna by the end of 2025. These newly created positions include validation and automation jobs, as well as vision inspection engineers, technical leads and support positions. Hiring will begin immediately, Ultimate Solutions said in a news release.

These jobs will generate just over $4 million in new annual payroll, according to the state of Ohio. The Ohio Tax Credit Authority approved an eight-year, 1.6% job creation tax credit for the project on Monday. The tax credit has an estimated value of $500,000, assuming the jobs are created and the new payroll is verified by the state. The authority also will require the company to maintain operations at the project location for at least 11 years.

“Ultimate Solutions had many options for establishing its new U.S. operations and it chose Ohio,” JobsOhio President and CEO J.P. Nauseef said. “The new facility in the Columbus region attracts a global leader to Ohio that is creating solutions and efficiencies to advance how life sciences can positively impact lives worldwide.”

Ultimate Solutions sought a new office in the United States to support contract growth and expand its operational footprint. The company says the new warehouse and office in Gahanna will bolster this growth by adding additional capacity to meet its new business demands. It will also serve as "showcase space" for prospective clients and talent, Ultimate Solutions said in the release.

Gahanna competed with Indiana and Kentucky for the proposed project, according to the state. The Columbus-area suburb came out on top despite Ultimate Solutions' existing presence in Jeffersontown, Kentucky.

“The Columbus region’s deep experience in the healthcare and pharmaceuticals industries, combined with its growing life sciences cluster, made it a top choice for our U.S. expansion," Ultimate Solutions USA President Yoel Rivera said in the release.

The company's new U.S. operation will expand its existing capabilities through technology and worker training via its training academy. Ultimate Solutions has developed a curriculum of more than 30 technical trainings and a laboratory for research and development.

“We proudly welcome Ultimate Solutions to our business ecosystem and local community,” Gahanna Mayor Laurie Jadwin said. “The company’s presence adds to our growing STEM-related opportunities while adding more high-paying engineering jobs to the local economy.”

Founded in 2005, Ultimate Solutions has more than 200 employees across its offices in Puerto Rico, Spain and the U.S. The company specializes in validation, serialization, industrial automation and compliance for the life sciences industries, which includes the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device and logistics markets.
