Opel has just unveiled the new Insignia Grand Sport and rendering artists have already started rolling out their proposals.

The first one is by X-Tomi, who has imagined the new mid-size family saloon in OPC guise with a reworked front bumper, extended side skirts, larger wheels, and lowered ride height.

It’s unknown at this point when Opel/Vauxhall will present their new Insignia Grand Sport OPC/VXR. It is nevertheless expected to be faster than its predecessor, which uses a 325 PS (320 HP) and 435 Nm (321 lb-ft) of torque, 2.8-liter turbo V6.

As for the actual car, there’s no official word on powertrains yet, but initially the most potent variant is believed to use a 2.0-liter turbocharged petrol unit with 247-horsepower.
