Are you looking to spruce up your collection with a barely-driven, very special Merc? All you have to do is check your finances and book a hotel room in Essen, Germany, for next weekend.

This Mercedes-Benz CLK DTM will be auctioned off by RMSothebys on their April 11-12 event.

It was made in 2005, has less than 21,800 km (13,545 miles) on the clock and two previous owners. The auction house says that the black on black car has been serviced recently by an authorized Mercedes-Benz dealer and it’s waiting to be reintroduced to the road.

As per the official estimates, it should sell for €225,000-€275,000 ($252,633-$308,773). If you’re wondering why on earth would anyone pay that much for an old CLK that’s not even a Black Series and not buy a Ferrari, Lamborghini or any other supercar out there that’s in the same price range instead, the answer is because it’s not your run-of-the-mill Mercedes.

The CLK DTM was born as a homologation special for the brand’s German Touring Car Championship contender, and with 100 coupes and 80 convertibles built, it’s rarer than the Black Series. Also, it’s more powerful too, with the 5.4-liter supercharged V8 pumping out 582 PS (574 hp / 428 kW) and 800 Nm (590 lb-ft) of torque, rocketing it to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.9 seconds.

Think of it as a true race car for the road. And to put the aforementioned specs into perspective, the newer AMG GT R is only 3 PS (3 hp / 2 kW) more powerful and has 100 Nm (74 lb-ft) of torque less.
