this roleplay is loosely based on the anime/manga overlord. watching the anime is not a prerequisite
for joining the roleplay, it was simply the inspiration.
xxxxx eleven years in the past, an innovative, cutting-edge roleplaying game by the name of adastreia was released to the public. the game quickly grew in popularity, drawing thousands to log in to the realms each day. three friends met upon the games inception, forming a bond that couldn't be broken by the strongest force. these bonds soon became the basis of one of the strongest guilds in the online world, known as legacy. they lived up to their title, peaking at rank number one across all regions. as the guild grew, it became clear that the three could not handle the massive numbers of players in their ranks, and the need grew for class leaders. those who had found refuge in the friendships of the three leaders found themselves taking on roles where they lead and organized all guild members of their class. triumphant, the guild maintained a high ranking, gaining fame among the servers.
xxxxxall of these memories in hand, mmorpg's have rapidly augmented, rendering adastreia out of date. many players left over time, only those who found ties dragging them back sticking around. adastreia had become quite desolate in a matter of time, but many stayed in loyalty to legacy. as fewer and fewer players arrived daily, adastreia announced that they would be shutting down servers for good subsequent to the weekend. the few members that stuck around, the high ranking minority, found themselves logging in one last time just hours before the shutdown, just to say goodbye to those they had created such fond memories with. some sat behind their desks wiping tears, while others clenched their teeth and watched the seconds tick away. the minute hand snapped towards the twelve, and the players sighed. opening their eyes, wiping their tears, and looking around them, that's when they had noticed. no longer were they watching as their favorite game closed forever. now, they were truly immersed in the world of adastreia.
