Built in a converted a 1930 low-slung stucco building in downtown Marfa, this hotel is more than a full-service stay. The hotel’s art collection is sure to get people talking: Nearly 300 works by regional artists such as Christopher Wool, Mark Flood, and Jeff Elrod are exhibited throughout the property, including pieces in all 55 guest rooms. The hotel, which opened in April 2016, houses the new location of the Marfa Book Company, a decades-old institution that hosts readings and lectures year round. It's also home to LaVenture restaurant, which serves French-inspired dishes, while—to the locals’ sweet relief—a casual café offers three full meals a day. Editor's Pick: Hot List 2017
