Married in 2015, Codey and Alexis grew up in the small town of Wetumpka, Alabama. While growing up in the church, neither would follow Christ until later in life. This has created a shared passion for the church in America to be more devoted to Jesus in their conduct and more sacrificial in their efforts to reach their neighbors and the nations.

They both fully believe that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is God's only plan to save sinners from hell and to offer salvation to all who repent of their sin and believe that Jesus is Lord. As Jesus is the only Savior, this should motivate Christians to do as much as possible to share the good news and to display a new life empowered by the Holy Spirit. Their family holds to the 1689 London Baptist Confession of Faith

They share five children: Caroline, Tozer, Watson, Piper, and the newest baby due in March 2024. One baby awaits them in heaven.

Codey serves as the Family Pastor of Valley Baptist Church. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Applied Theology. He also advises church planting and pastor training in Central Asia. You can learn more about these efforts here.
