Rhodes, Greece travel guide: Where we stayed

Amada Colossos Resort

If you're planning a trip to Rhodes, you'll definitely want to stay at the Amada Colossos Resort.

It's a 5* seafront resort on the cosmopolitan and history-rich island of Rhodes. Amada Colossos is a modern, all-Inclusive resort hotel that is undoubtedly beautiful and welcoming. From its grand 140m pool and 430m long private beach, to its elegant sea-side rooms that accommodate both families and adults - the hotel offers something for everyone.

I stayed in one of the executive suites with sustainable features including locally supplied furniture and eco friendly mattresses. I also had my very own à la carte pillow menu of different luxury pillows designed to cover the range of sleeping styles which was a unique feature. Absolutely adored the huge sliding doors overlooking the pool and the ocean which gave me the most unreal morning view.

Rhodes, Greece travel guide: What to do

Pool Side

If you fancy swimming in the sea, there's a private beach area too, while you can chill out at mealtimes in one of the hotel's sixteen restaurants and bars (more on those below).

Separate ‘family’ areas include a 5-slide waterpark with zones for toddlers, children, teens and adults. The 140m pool has three bars and the 430m long beach has comfy sun beds and private gazebos.

Restaurants

If you're a foodie, you'll be spoilt for choice as the resort offers plenty of places to eat. There were several restaurants and bars dotted about the resort that served traditional Greek breakfasts, buffets and mezze, a la carte Greek, Italian and Asian dishes and a separate Executive Lounge set aside for Diamond and Elite Collection guests. We loved their Asian restaurant and the Greek Taverna which had generous hospitality.

For an even more authentic food experience while in Rhodes, Amada's staff have a wealth of information and recommendations within the local community.

Wellness Spa

If you're looking to relax solo, check out the Amada Wellness Spa offering treatments as well as sauna, jacuzzi and complimentary Greek herbal tea made locally. You'll need to book in advance though as the treatments are popular amongst the guests.
