Check out the Gigaset 4010! This cool 2.4 GHz cordless boasts sharp, clear calling, versatile features, and the ability to expand into a 4-handset system!

2.4 GHz phones achieve exceptional clarity and a high level of protection against eavesdropping. And when it comes to features, you get plenty — like a backlit handset display for viewing Caller ID and Call Waiting Caller ID numbers (a great way to avoid unwanted calls), a voice-mail Message Waiting indicator, paging, and a 20-entry telephone directory.

Expansion? No problem. You can add up to 3 optional handsets to the one included with the 4010. Just plug in the 4010 base to a phone jack and electrical outlet, then put a handset and charger wherever there's another electrical outlet. You save on the cost of wiring in new phone jacks wherever you want a phone. It's an easy way to gain convenient cordless calling all over the house! Available in either black with silver accents or white.

Features

2.4 GHz Spread Spectrum: The system's 2.4 GHz frequency and high-speed digital voice encoding provide superior reception and clarity. Frequency hopping spread spectrum technology ensures unparalleled security.

Adaptive Differential Pulse Code (ADPCM): This system uses 32-kilobit-per-second ADPCM to convert your voice to digital signals, delivering superior voice quality.

Multi-Handset System: This system can be expanded into a 4 handset system. In addition to the included handset, up to three optional handsets can be registered and operated with the base station of this system. This feature allows you to place handsets throughout your home or office, without the need for multiple phone line connections. When multiple handsets are registered, one hanset can call another registered handset without tying up the phone line.

Security: A handset cannot operate unless it is registered with the base and has a system pin number. There are 10,000 possible pin combinations. This feature provides system security.

Optional Headset: The cordless handset has an input for an optional headset located on its right side. The manual states that you should use only the approved Jensen JTH9650 headset.

Cordless Handset Lock: You can lock the cordless handset. It can still receive calls or make an emergency call to 911, but it cannot make outgoing calls.

Ringer Melodies: You can select from 10 ringer melodies.

Volume: You can adjust the ringer volume and the handset volume. The ringer volume can be set to 1 of 7 levels, including mute. The handset volume can be set to 1 of 3 levels.

Caller ID with Caller ID Call waiting: Displays caller information when a call is received (if you subscribe to Caller ID and/or Call Waiting with the phone company) . It will also show the name and number, or Out of Area or Private Caller if Caller ID information is not available on the handset LCD. Stores caller's name, number, time and date in the Caller Log for a total of up to 30 callers.

Caller Log:

  • can be searched
  • called back from
  • edited
  • stored in the directory
  • erased (one at a time or all).

Note: When the Caller Log is full, the unit will automatically erase the oldest call received in order to store information on the next call. If the customer subscribes to Visual Call Waiting (Call waiting ID) and a second call is received, the new caller's name and phone number will be shown on the display.

Directory: The system has a directory feature that allows you to store 20 names and numbers in each handset. The names can be up to 12 characters long and the numbers can be up to 22 digits. Numbers can be entered manually, transferred from the Caller ID list, or transferred from another handset. Numbers from the directory can be dialed by recalling the names of the entries, using the 2-9 buttons, and pressing the talk button. When the 20 name/number Directory entries are combined with the 9 Memory Dial List numbers (see below), the total number of speed dial entries is 29.

Memory Dial List: The Memory Dial feature allows you to store up to 9 frequently dialed numbers for quick access using the 1-9 keys; each number can have a maximum of 12 digits. Once a number has been stored in the Memory Dial List, it can be dialed by pressing the Memory Dialing key, giving the number key (1-9) for the desired location a long press, then pressing the Talk key. When the 9 Memory Dial List numbers are combined with the 20 name/number Directory entries (see above), the total number of speed dial entries is 29.

TelCo Voicemail Account: You can program this phone to connect to and access your TelCo voicemail with the press of one button.

Redial: The phone stores, and can re-dial, the last five calls received.

Intercom: The intercom on this phone allows you to page from one handset to another handset and to use both handsets without tying up the incoming phone line.

Alarm: Since the phone incorporates a clock function, you can set a one event/day alarm.

Transferring Calls: This phone allows you to:

  • transfer an external call to any handset
  • transfer an internal call to an external party
  • transfer a call without announcing it
  • transfer a call after announcing it
  • pick up a call put on hold by someone else
  • join an ongoing call

Conference Calls: The conference feature lets three parties share a conversation. At least one party must be on an external line.

Charger Cradle: The handset is automatically charged in the base unit.

Battery: The system can be used with "AA" Nickel-Cadmium (Ni-Cd) rechargeable batteries (supplied), or "AA" Nickel-Metal Hydride (NiMH) rechargeable batteries (not supplied). The supplied Ni-Cd batteries require an initial charge time of approximately 12 hours. Stand-by battery life is about 36 hours and talk time is about 4 hours. With NiMH rechargeable batteries, stand-by battery life is about 72 hours and talk time is about 8 hours.
