At 25, Alex was working as a personal trainer for a gym when he decided to explore the world of male escorting.

Fast forward four years, the Spanish man, now 29 and based in Sydney, is charging wealthy women $500 per hour - and can earn up to $15,000 a week.

He leads a double life as a high-class male escort catering to the sexual whims of strangers, including single mothers, businesswomen aged between 35 and 45, and girls as young as 18 who want to lose their virginity. 

His ad promises everything from the boyfriend experience and being a romantic date at social events to raunchy Fifty Shades of Grey role plays.

Speaking to Daily Mail Australia, the sex worker revealed what women really want behind closed doors - and why his clients choose to pay for sex.

'I've been paid a couple of times for a full week experience. That goes for $15,000 for a full week with me - expenses excluded,' Alex told Daily Mail Australia. 

'I received a $1,000 tip once from a husband who wanted me to have sex with his wife. They both seemed very pleased with my performance and the experience. 

'I make a good living, I see a couple of clients at least once a week, generally for a few hours each time.'

From dinners to weekend stays and travel companions, Alex said he can also be hired by the hour. 

'My regulars love to spoil me. I get flown in first class if I travel with them or share amazing experiences together,' he said.

Alex - who works as a full-time male escort for My Male Companion - said he sees up to three different clients a week depending on the time of year.

'Sometimes it's quieter, other times it's much busier,' he said.

'I get women from all walks of life. From single mums to businesswomen, age is usually between 35 and 45 but occasionally, I get girls as young as 18 for their first time sexual experience.'

After meeting a lot of clients, Alex said he now knows what women really want. 

'They want the ultimate fantasy a man can ever be and provide. The prince and the knight. The ultimate lover in and outside the bedroom,' he said.

'They also want to possibly impress others and have a great companion next to them making them feel a real woman. Giving them the true attention they deserve without ever being distracted by anything else.'

Alex said 'time' and 'disappointment' are usually the two main factors women choose to hire a male escort.

'It's still a man's world. Women by far have much more demanding lives and responsibilities than men but equality is also coming up strong. Women want the same opportunities that men have always had,' he said.

Alex said the best part about his job is the sex - and he only draws the line when the opposite sex requests him for his services.

'I love the sex, it's a pleasure and I get high seeing someone orgasm because of me. It's like a drug. Money and the lifestyle are also very addictive,' he said.

'I'm straight and this is my only line… for the rest I'm always willing to explore new spaces depending how far the other person wishes to push the limit and how much trust we have one another.'

He said the most common request he gets is the 'Fifty shades of Grey' experience.

When it comes to building a connection with his client, he said 'love is a funny game'.

'We set our own rules of what love is. I like to think I love everyone,' he said.

As part of his job, Alex said he's required to get tested every three months.

'It's our company policy. We only practice safe sex,' he said.

By sharing his story, he wanted to lift the lid on the old-age stigma surrounding the unconventional profession.

'Sex is something we all think of, we all fantasise about it but really share in a conversation. I personally see no stigma,' Alex said. 

'I think those who judge is because they have a low quality sex life… If you have a great sex life, why would you judge someone like me? You would only embrace me. 

'I think the bigger issue is the connection people have while having sex.'
