Wetoweto vs Yeti: Is The Under $20 Drink Tumbler A Better Pick? We Analyze

We think it goes without saying that Yeti is probably the number one brand in anything drink related. Or at the very least number 1 in anything that tries to keep your drinks hot or cold. Whether it be tumblers or coolers or anything else in that space. That said they are expensive because they are the big dog and so as a result you have other brands trying to compete with them by offering a similar product for a cheaper price. One of those brand is Wetoweto. They have a 20 oz tumbler under $20 and we want to do a quick analysis to see if it's a better pick against the more expensive Yeti. First of course let's pull our samples so we know what we're talking about.

First we have the Wetoweto 20 oz tumbler. Currently on Amazon for only $9.99 and it has a 4.4 star score on over 2,800 ratings.

Then we have the Yeti 20 oz tumbler. Currently on Amazon for $35 and it has a 4.8 star score on over 113,000 ratings.

WAs expected the Yeti absolutely smashes the WetoWeto on overall feedback score. Not only do they have almost 40 times the amount of ratings, the score on the Yeti is higher than the WetoWeto by .4 points which is a lot in the Amazon feedback world. Especially when you get into the higher scores because it gets harder as you get closer to 5 stars. That being said is there anything at all about the WetoWeto that might justify getting it at a price of $25 cheaper?

Well when looking at the feedback head to head it's kind of interesting. They both score well on traits like temperature control, value, size, overall quality, and the appearance. Where things get a little hairy is on the lids and the issues seem to be for two different reasons. On the Yeti, the lid appears to be fine in keeping the contents in and not being hard to remove. On the other hand there does appear to be leakage at the mouth stopper. On the WetoWeto the issue with the lid is that it might be too strong. It's hard to remove and as a result is also not easy to clean.

In the end it's hard to tell if the under $20 is a better pick. From what we can see, where it matters the Wetoweto does keep up pace with the Yeti. Where it falls short in its lid design and how easy it is to clean will be up to you to decide if it's worth the money saved. That said, $25 is a big savings gap and it not something to sneeze at or ignore. If the ease of use of the Yeti is worth $25 for you, then you are good to go. If on the other hand you really need a tumbler on a budget, the WetoWeto should at least get the job done.
