U.S. Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Kyara Lozada, a metal worker with Marine Wing Support Squadron (MWSS) 171, Marine Aircraft Group 12, and a Connecticut native, welds together support beams during Exercise Cobra Gold 2024 (CG24) at the Ban Nong Yai School, Chachoengsao Province, Kingdom of Thailand, Feb. 16, 2024. The Japan Ground Self-Defense Force, Royal Thai Navy, U.S. Army and U.S. Marine Corps worked together to construct a new multipurpose building for the school. Cobra Gold is a multilateral humanitarian exercise that plays a crucial role in strengthening ties with the Indo-Asia-Pacific region and increasing interoperability of partnered nations.
