Freetime (UK) Ltd is a UK based Company, who have specialised in online advertising for businesses of all sizes since 2006.
It was whilst renovating a holiday home in the Dordogne that Jennifer Dean discovered the necessity for an online point of contact where expats and holidaymakers alike, could contact English speaking trades businesses and services. With her knowlege as a web designer, she had the idea of creating a website for such a purpose.
The idea was taken up by Jennifer's daughter Eleanor, who already had an impressive business and marketing background and soon the concept developed into a Directory. In March 2008 EnglishSpoken.info was created. Due to the work involved in designing an online database, the Directory took 5 months to perfect and was finally launched in September 2008.
The role of the Directory was to bring together, not only expats with businesses in France but to allow French businesses the opportunity to tap into the English speaking market. Once the Directory was up and running, the response with website hits and businesses wishing to advertise on the Directory was ever encouraging. The Company expanded their agent base and now have agents working in several different areas of France.
Our Plans for the Future:
In 2011 Freetime (UK) Ltd bought the name englishspoken.com in order to give the brand name a higher profile. English Spoken Directory's goal is to achieve a healthy, successful Company with good customer services and a loyal customer following. They intend to accomplish this by providing customers with a service second to none by use of diligence and hard work. In doing so, their objectives are to meet their annual sales targets and steer genuine business leads to their advertisers by ensuring that the Directory is nationally recognised.

"Having spent the best part of 32 years as a Police Officer, I retired in 2006 and was looking for a new challenge. We moved to France in 2007 and after renovating our house an opportunity came up to work with English Spoken Directory in January 2009. I am now responsible for the sales side of the Company!" "Previously employed both in the licensing trade and the wine trade; in 2007 I left my career as Manager of Logistics, Import & Export and Quality Control, for a well known wine importer to move to the land of wine!
Having also been in sales previously, when the opportunity of working for English Spoken came along it suited me perfectly as I can work from home which makes life easier with a toddler and one on the way."
