Gong Manufacturing Details:

It is made in the traditional way from very high quality hand-hammered bronze.

Wind Gong are flat bronze discs, with few notes, their basic tone is heavy and long. They are made of electrolytic copper and tinplate. They are traditionally played with a large mallet with which a blow is made which creates a noise similar to “thunder”.
Played with a nylon-tipped stick, they sound like old clocks.
Some have a hole in the center, but are mounted like traditional Gong hanging from the other holes on the edge. Those of small size (7-12 cm) have a sound more similar to that of bells due to their thickness and their diameter.

I love it the gong is a perfect size for carrying around during a sound bath or medication and it sounds lovely. I would definitely buy from this seller again. Also came with a little hand written thank you note very nice touch.
