I genuinely go through the details of the book thoroughly when it comes to nonfiction. Why? Well, nowadays maximum center of nonfiction books is motivation and inspiration. Of course, that is important but in 2022, I wanted something unique and more informative. That will give me enough knowledge to build myself and my future as I am actually looking forward to opening my own start-up. That's exactly what "Go start-up" delivers to readers.

The book consists of steps, ideas, explanations, ethics, values, business ideas, backgrounds, and many more necessary things. There are many diagrams, flow charts that explain everything very smoothly.

The author's writing style is very lucid and friendly in a formal way, that will not interrupt readers at all. Everything is very understandable and informative. The author's knowledge is incredibly Awsome and his dedication towards this book is visible.

I will recommend this book to all of them who want to plan a start-up like me or just need ideas or want to grow their knowledge in this field. It will be a great choice.

Every entrepreneur's go to guide for startups and success stories.

•Go startup by Karan Kashyap is one of those books that actually has some impact on aspiring business people.

•Simple yet powerful narration is one of the parts I absolutely adored.

•Indian entrepreneurs would dig this book because it feels like it's written for them.

•While the format remains common to several other self-help books, this one is a tad unique and interesting.

•An over-all help and guidance for setting up a StartUp is generously provided.

•Karan Kashyap's simple language had me intrigued from the beginning. Go Startup has a homely feel to it and I dunno how to explain this considering its not the kind of book I usually read.

•About 300 pages of illustrated success stories and totally worth it.

I liked this book a lot, it is well formatted & very useful for someone who wants to venture out on his own. I found the information personally relevant at many fronts.

A compatible mindset is necessary for achieving our goal. Knowing our strengths & weaknesses, basically doing a SWOT analysis is quite helpful. Then exploring our SUPPORT BASE, family, mentors etc is crucial. I also liked the attractive illustrations & words by successful entrepreneurs in the highlighted boxes, they were my fav. PPT people- place- topics was an interesting section. I realised not only finances but networking also is a crucial factor for success.

Discipline & positive attitude, creating a brand also are some things which struck me & i understood their importance well through the section. 8 values on Inuit's Wall were a perfect combination to look up to.

"Whether you prevail or fail depends on what you do to yourself than on what the world does to you."❤️

The author has beautifully in a simple but effective way covered all crucial points one needs to acknowledge before venturing into the field. The examples/ case studies, words by well known personalities were an icing on the already perfect cake.
The takeaway quotes, start up jargon was my fav.

Totally recommend.

Everyday, we see so many success stories about the varied business and entrepreneurial ventures out there that make us want to start something of our own.

And albeit, it is easy to be impressed and look at the numbers that these businesses do bring in, but there is no denying the fact or reality that almost eight out of ten startups fail to make their mark in their first year.

Some might say that avoiding this fate may be hard, but it is not deemed as impossible, and certainly not when we are armed with the wealth of information from the book, ‘Go Start Up: Your Best Guide to Unlocking the Values and Culture of Success’ by author Karan Kashyap.

As can be seen, there are countless tips and tricks that we may gather pertaining to all about startup and its survivability from different mediums, however this book is one of the fastest and easiest way to learn.

There are many people who have great ideas, however to take that vision and build it into something that is not only successful but also scalable can be a daunting and complicated task.

Hence, this is one of the books which will assure the readers and somewhat make it easy for them to get a general overall view of what it truly means and what all entails in starting our own new venture.

What I liked the most about this was that it was not just some book in which the author has preached and advised, but rather it does contain some important and necessary information that will actually be helpful for all the new as well as seasoned entrepreneurs out there.

The guidance presented by the author in book comes from effortful interactions combined with real life on the job experience, thereby resulting in an overall formula for success, hence I am going to give this FIVE STARS ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We now live in a world where gone are the days people dream of becoming doctors or engineers. Standing up on their own with their venture and becoming successful is what most people dream now.
But the thing to keep in mind is , is that enough to only keep dreaming?
When one wants to an entrepreneur or as in today's term own a startup they need to have the right mindset which involves the factors that would need to be kept in mind, on basis of its sustainability and being successful.
This book will help you deep dive into what exactly would be in need right from the planning for a startup.
The book comprises of three sections viz. The mindset, stories and for your information.
The mindset section is where the author discusses the factors that should be kept in mind, be it involving the initial planning or the traits that the person who wants to own a startup needs to have mandatorily. Networking and getting to know better or much more information by asking questions will play a key role during the phase.

The second section stories gives you a glimpse of real life inspiring stories of successful organization.
There are a lot of resources like worksheet, flowcharts which helps people visualise and work on their goals.
Inorder to materialize the dream or bring it into action, not falling into traps, finding doable ways of execution is all what the techniques the book brings you.
The exploration of ideas with respect to culture and expansion are also helpful. The author nor only does explain in just words but also provides worksheet for the reader to implement their vision.

"Start Up" isn't a new term now but to look back at decades ago it was a rarely heard word. Today people are more and more inclined towards start ups than they wear decades ago. But how can you form the base of your organization and how can you make it successful? "Go Start Up" empowers the aspiring entrepreneurs to benefit from the values and culture system.

The book is categorised into three parts. The first part "Mindset" starts with the building base and the key characteristics that enables in becoming an entrepreneur. Here the author discusses different personality traits of becoming a successful entrepreneur. The second part "Stories" mentions importance of managing self, Teamwork, values and culture in wirk like, change by discussing real life inspired case studies. The third part "For Your Information" includes worksheets for implementation of ideas.

I love that the book is written in a crisp and on point including all the necessary information. While the first part helps in developing the right mindset, I especially loved the second part which is motivating and inspiring as it contains real life examples. The author had included a section of useful resources which I feel is very helpful for beginners.

I love how the author has provided the meaning of different terms at the end and the takeaway quotes are the cherry on top.
Filled with illustrations, flow charts and diagrams, the book held my interest till the end. I will recommend this book for people who are looking for guidance of venturing into start ups.

Go Start Up
By: Karan Kashyap
Rating: 5/5
Genre: Non-Fiction, Self Help

"Sometimes what makes us faster, better, smarter is our network! There is no such thing as a self-made man. We are all made of hundreds of others."

Let's say you want to be an entrepreneur. You have the idea in mind. Everything is planned in your head, all you need to do is execute the plan. That's where most entrepreneurs face difficulty in. How to start the business? What sorts of investments should be done? Are angel investments good or bad? How to spend your capital? These are some of the important yet difficult questions.

The book has been divided into three sections.
1. Mindset 2. Stories 3. For Your Information

Every section is equally significant and informative.
.....
~I would recommend to anyone in a similar state.
~I am not really interested in being an entrepreneur (though I once considered being a business-woman 😅) so the tips weren't exactly helpful for me, but this nook did inspire me to become one.
~Even if you are not interested in being one, learning about various entrepreneurs (mostly Indian) is a knowledge worth grasping.
To sum up, I enjoyed this book and never felt bored while reading it.

The review will soon be posted on both Amazon and Instagram (@anveshathebibliophile)

Review:

A book to give guidance to the young enterprises owners to help to achieve their goals as well as giving the education on the importance of values and culture as all huge companies always looks after that.

The author starts the book with making the mindsets of his readers, the new entrepreneurs, by letting them find their own skills and strengths, then all the basics things they need to look after before venturing in, like a suitable name, having good support system, finding a good space to start, how networking is important, etc.

In the next step the author telling stories and through these short stories and graphs tries to conveys the important parts they need to look after and be ready for it.

And in the last section the author gives extensive informations of India and it's current market situations. With lots of questions and charts.

The thing about this book is though the book is very straightforward, it's not bland, as the author uses very simple language and uses lots of quotes from many big entrepreneurs, and lots of illustrations and charts for easy access.

A through guide and beginner friendly book for the entrepreneurs.

It definitely takes a lot of physical and mental effort to start a business, doesn't it? Many people would have an idea, but they don't know the first step. Unfortunately, there's no one to guide such people. That's where Karan's book comes into the picture.

Go startup is a self-help, non-fiction book that provides a comprehensive overview about how one can start a business, building one, sustaining in it, analyzing the market trends, and all other information. There are flow charts, diagrams, graphs, and other tabulations at the right places so that the idea clearly sticks to the readers mind, and there's no confusion. It also prepares one's mindset for the purpose.

I think this book is a must-read for all the budding entrepreneurs, as India is in a rapidly growing state and many startups are coming up at an enormous pace. The language is very plain. There are no fancy or hi-fi terms used. The cover of the book is also very attractive.

With the startup movement in India gaining traction in recent years and the government coming up with initiatives like Startup India and Make in India plus motivated by some sucessful pitches in Shark Tank India, the youth is coming forward with great business ideas. Yet an idea needs the correct guidance to come to fruition. This is what Karan Kashyap's book is about. He has divided the book into 3 parts. The first one discusses what it takes to build a startup mindset. This part discusses the nitty gritties of the formative years of a new business. In the next part the author, shares success stories and mantras followed by those who built the most successful businesses in recent years and what it took to be the best. The final part is full of useful activities and resources. The purpose of this book is not to deter anyone from starting a business but educating readers of the gravity and responsibilities that it undertakes. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to venture into this.

This non-fiction self-help book would be an amazing read for all entrepreneurs and start-up enthusiasts.

It shows the important qualities and personality traits an entrepreneur must have to help his start-up thrive. It focuses on how to network too! Topping, all the last few pages are loaded with inspiring quotes from real life examples like Ritesh Agarwal, GR Gopinath and more.

The illustrations in this book make it easier to understand the concepts, and people can get the crisp message in a single go. The book is not wordy and it’s to the point and I think, that’s what a busy budding entrepreneur needs at any given time. This is sure to be a helpful read for anyone who is looking forward to having a side hustle or starting their own venture.

Would be an awesome gift to your friends who wish to start their own venture, but still look for that ‘nudge’.

Startup culture has been on the rise and while it is a dream-come-true for aspiring entrepreneurs to have their own startup turn into a successful venture, the important aspects that are often overlooked are the culture and values built for the employees and for the clients. Go Startup emphasizes on this aspect of building and running a successful startup — the book is divided into three sections.

Section one delves on how to build this mindset, section two talks about real life stories with examples and the last section has worksheets for the reader to apply the concepts they learnt so far, along with reference material .The book stays true to the concepts it promises to cover in the blurb. It has good number of flow diagrams and illustrations to convey the concepts easily to the reader.

The book has good jargon that may appeal to serious readers and those who already have exposure to life at Startups. The concepts and advise shared in the books are practical, relevant and to the point. The book covers all the aspects of a Startup like the founder, employees, work culture and the values that need to inculcated from the beginning. Pick this one if you aspire to be an entrepreneur or work at a Startup or simply interested in learning about what makes a Startup a long term success.

'Enterpreneurship is,in its unalloyed form, a state of mind. It is how you think, the way you think, and how you act. It is a state of mind that needs to be cultivated. It needs personal mastery.'

~Sharad Sharma(Co founder iSPIRIT)

Recent emphasis of the government and the policymakers to build a strong foundation for the Make In India, one can count these as the most oppportune time for the budding startups. The third section For Your Information is the most impressive section in the book. The book is just not a one way communication but act as two way process. FIY has exercise worksheet 1 to 4 where one can experience a live 1 to 1 session.

Chapter 16 in this section has useful resources. This useful resources are nothing but link for various factors a person consider before organising his start up. These links include hiring and verification, agent network, P2P lending, crowd funding platform, NBFC, venture capitalist and debt funds, educational nstitutions and other additional useful resources. Having an unique idea and implementing is not a small deal. But we have many entrepreneurs who have paved the way to great success and showed us the path. This indeed has inspired many budding entrepreneurs to break the monotony of a salaried job and set up their own base and live their dreams to the fullest.

The author Karan Kashyap has written this book for the very same purpose. To motivate young entrepreneurs to spread their wings and reach out to their true potential which they might not have realised exists within them.

But as for any great job, one needs a mentor, a person to look upto for guidance. This book serves as one. The author has given several examples starting from the importance of naming and branding the company coupled with examples to the importance of family support, a trustworthy team to fall back on, a cofounder who can share your burden and has the same enthusiasm towards your company and more.

The author has described in detail what are the struggles which young entrepreneurs face - be it with quitting their job and coming out of their comfort zone, issues with financing, rent space and more.

He suggested the entrepreneurs to connect to different Venture capitalists, angel investors, banking groups through developing a network, attending parties or connecting with other entrepreneurs who might have the connections. This startup book essentially provides us with all the relevant information & resources which are needed to create an awareness of the career we're planning to pursue in the near or distant future. There's a substantial growth of aspiring entrepreneurs in the market these days who wish to setup their own business & create a base foundation right from the stratch with no outside support or family backgrounds. They wish to be independent & set themselves up without seeking for any unnecessary aid. Additionally, the book also pushes entrepreneurs to seek benefits from the existing values & cultures. It gives practical implications & the advantages of being able to adapt in any environment no matter what situation life pushes us in - ultimately, helping us build our own legacy & founder of our own business/organisation.

The book mainly targets audiences who are willing to start their own enterprises & those who lack adequate knowledge, expertise or experience pertaining to this field. The beginners will especially be able to derive various benefits out of concrete context. The book is mainly divided into three sections:
Mindset,
Stories &
For your information (FYI).
And each section consists of their own subsections. The first one as the name suggests helps one to formulate their own mindset required to sustain business. Whereas the second one consists of real-life inspired case studies showcasing stories of successful people. At last, but not the least there's a section which is entirely devoted to the readers & it consists of many worksheets to follow up & other useful activities, resources & research materials to ponder upon.

Furthermore, apart from all the factors mentioned above - there're many additional qualities which I loved which the book has offered here. Firstly, there're many quotes added at various times at various places from successful entrepreneurs. Secondly, there're many tabular columns, tables & charts added to guide readers easily into a better understanding & to get a clear overview, picture & vision of things. Not to forget, the freebody diagrammatic illustrations which have been inculcated to make the reading ability even further interesting. Writing style is good. Narration is okay. Language is simple. Overall, a good one-time read!

Starting an organisation is not an easy task; it involves a lot of discipline, hard work, and anxiety. Here is a review of a book named Go Start-Up which is a guide to all young entrepreneurs.

A start-up will require the knowledge of your strengths and weaknesses, an apt name, a support structure of co-founders, mentors, and family, an opportune time of birth, and a well-thought-of location. From naming your business to the expansion of the enterprise, it's a dynamic process and the author here has given a lot of insights on each and everything that is related to a Start-Up.

The atmosphere a start-up cultivates for both its clients and staff in the modern world is its most precious asset. Whether it be Droom, Upgrad, OYO Hotels & Homes, or Swiggy, the founders of all such successful businesses have used the golden rule of promoting and protecting their organisations' values and culture systems to help turn their businesses into legendary Unicorns. In the process, they have garnered a great deal of goodwill in the market and have motivated aspiring business owners to achieve the much-desired start-up success.

Karan Kashyap has extensively conducted research on India’s start-up ecosystem. He has provided a starting point for the young company owners and a place to begin building their founder legacies. He states that setting up values and culture is of utmost importance for any start-up. In conjunction with that, the book offers various facets of the entrepreneurship journey and describes it in different modes like a visual representation; worksheets for practice; details about VCs, investors, and Angel investors their profile links and contacts; Innovative ideas for increasing team spirit, to conduct meetings, building networking skills, developing a valuable entrepreneurial routine, PPT presentation, decision making etc.

The most likeable thing was the words and wisdom of founders and unicorns on each page of the book. I highly recommend all entrepreneurs or people who are thinking to start their business to read this book and extract the best of the best tips provided. Do not forget that our routine and lifestyle also matter a lot for being an entrepreneur. So, a must-read!

This book has really great practical advice for an entrepreneur. I think an easy way to review this book would be to tell you that I highlighted almost 60% of this book's text because it has so much good content.

I worked as a BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER in a small company for a short period and we seeks to increase the number of clients and the range of services. The market is quite complicated, there is great competition and resources, as always limited. I constantly strive for self-development and constantly look for new ideas and tips for business.

This book has become a real discovery and a treasure for people like me. I read it in several evenings, but I think I will use it again and again as a textbook. Despite the abundance of business literature, the main value in such literature for me is practicality and efficiency. Especially useful for me in this book are the sections in which the author gives us real life examples. I recommend GO START UP: YOUR GUIDE TO UNLOCKING THEVALUES AND CULTURE OF SUCCESS to everyone who wants to achieve success and who has little time and many tasks!

My top 3 takeaways are:
* If you want to be in the top 5% of people, you must think and act like the top 5%.
* Before going to start, a startup company commits to working on your mindset and that will make you feeling energized (this one really works for me).
* You have to take care of your funding and business plan before heading.

The book was influential, informative, and educative. The writing style is really good You get a feeling like a mentor or a teacher is sitting next to us and guiding you to prepare for the journey by telling you about problems and how to tackle them.

There needs to be a paradigm shift in thinking about failure prevention as the foundation of your business and growing from there!

Loads of lessons on running a company and avoiding failure. Lessons that could be applied to business and life. Glad I picked it up! Recommend it!

When a business idea crops up in one’s mind, what sets in alongside is a fear of the unknown and a sense of self doubt. These doubts may be because of the lack of proper knowledge and a thorough understanding, which is the problem that this book is meant to solve. Putting together valuable anecdotes from businessmen and a deeper insight into the business concepts and technicalities, Go Start Up by Karan Kashyap is an immensely useful concoction of advice and information for aspiring entrepreneurs.

After an idea is born, there are a ton of things that are to be sorted out for the business to take a material shape. And to someone who is new to this field, all these things might come off as a daunting task to handle. But I must say that this book has dealt with all those pretty deftly. I was quite impressed with how efficiently the author has condensed all the essential information into this book and prepared this comprehensive guide.

For me, one of the highlights of this book was the flowcharts and the diagrams which have been used to present the information in a creative and impactful manner. All the facts have been supported with examples and instances from the business world which truly reflected how well the author understands this area and also how the book is backed with an extensive amount of research.

From entrepreneurs’ personal experiences to a meticulous guide to the ideal personality of a businessman, this book offers everything that one needs to know and understand before stepping into the business world.

As much as this book calls to budding businessmen, I felt that it can be an enriching read for every reader who is looking forward to living a goal-oriented life. Through this book, the author shares lessons which would prove to be useful to you, no matter what career field you’re progressing in.

In today's time we see many people coming up with small business to earn, many entrepreneurs to setup their business by involving many investors, their time, schedule, their potential and lot more.
Go Start Up is one such book that I came across, that narrates on how an entrepreneur can give his 100% to setup his business at a height.
The book is divided into three section
Section 1 :
Mindset
If a person thinks of starting a business he will surely have to set up his mind thinking about many things like Risk factors in business, what is the actual base of his business, the network cycle which he will opt, connection with people and last values and culture for a healthy and successful business.

Section 2 :
Stories
What oneself has to do to first create a schedule for himself, then comes the employees and teamwork how to manage them and cope up with them, what changes should be taken in an immediate decisions and how to expand by involving of investors.

Section 3 :
For Your Information ( FYI)
Author talks about 5 dimensions which should be kept in mind and these should be compared with other countries for a successful business.
4 worksheets are provided by in the book for a clear view of how to expand and compare your intake resources with other countries.
Some quotes by famous entrepreneurs are also mentioned in the last section of the book.

Coming to the cover and the title of the book:
Both completely goes hand to hand.

Narration:
Book is narrated in such a simple language that a non-business person can also understand each and every thing in the book.
I must say author has done a complete research while writing the book.
Each chapter has something new to elaborate.

I really enjoyed reading the book and got to know many things related to business.

A helpful read!
