Henry J. Kaiser Admiring a Model Airplane

(Original Caption) Says 70-Ton Flying Boats Is Small Stuff. Alameda, California: Talk of 70-ton flying boats is small stuff, according to shipbuilder Henry J. Kaiser. He’s shown above with a model of a 12-motored 200-ton seaplane designed by his engineers. Already Mr. Kaiser is thinking in terms of even larger ships with as many as twenty motors and capable of carrying great quantities of war supplies to help win the war. He says his present shipbuilding facilities could be switched to handle flying boats and have the 70-tonners rolling off the assembly line within ten months.
