Citroen C3 Aircross SUV: Price, features, specifications, other details you should know
The C3 Aircross SUV joins the ranks of the C5 Aircross SUV, C3 hatchback, and E-C3 electric hatchback in Citroen's Indian lineup.
Citroen, the French automobile giant, has introduced its fourth model in India, the C3 Aircross SUV. The vehicle is being produced at Citroen's Thiruvallur plant in Tamil Nadu, with over 90% of its components being locally sourced. This new addition joins the ranks of the C5 Aircross SUV, C3 hatchback, and E-C3 electric hatchback in Citroen's Indian lineup.
The C3 Aircross SUV is available in three variants -- You, Plus, and Max -- with prices ranging from Rs 9.99 lakh to Rs 12.34 lakh (ex-showroom). Pre-bookings for the vehicle have begun, with a token amount of Rs 25,000, and deliveries are set to start on October 15.
The SUV offers two seating configurations -- a standard 5-seater layout and a 5+2-seater layout with a removable third row of seats. The base variant, You, is only available as a 5-seater, while the Plus and Max variants offer both seating configurations.
Under the hood, the C3 Aircross SUV is powered by Citroen's globally acclaimed 1.2-litre Gen-3 Turbo PureTech petrol engine, which delivers a maximum power of 110PS and a peak torque of 190Nm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox, with no automatic transmission option currently available. The vehicle boasts an ARAI-certified mileage of 18.5kmpl.

In terms of features, the C3 Aircross SUV is equipped with halogen reflector headlights with LED DRLs, 17-inch alloy wheels, roof rails, a shark fin antenna, and a dual-tone roof option. The interior features a 10.23-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, and a multi-function steering wheel. Roof-mounted AC vents are also available, but only for the 5+2-seater layout variants.
The vehicle also comes with an auto stop/start, electronic stability program, hill hold assist and tyre pressure monitoring system. It is compatible with the My Citroen Connect app that provides 38 smart features with remote operations for door lock/unlock, positioning lamps on/off and immobilisation.
Citroen Finance is offering a loan scheme where customers can purchase the vehicle until October 31, with EMIs starting from 2024. Additionally, Citroen, in collaboration with its insurance partners, is introducing two new customer-centric vehicle insurance add-ons -- emergency medical expenses cover and EMI protect cover. These add-ons will provide comprehensive protection for emergency medical treatment expenses, including accidental hospitalisation and ambulance costs. The EMI protect cover offers EMI protection (1 to 6 months) for insured vehicles undergoing repairs due to loss or damage covered under the policy.
