Jeongseok Memorial Library Marks Two Decades of Service with a Grand Celebration

In a jubilant commemoration of the 20th anniversary of the establishment of Jeongseok Memorial Library, a spectacular event unfolded with the theme, 'Jeongseok Cultural Festival: The 20th Anniversary.' The festivities kicked off with an uplifting opening ceremony, and throughout the day, a diverse range of activities took place, including insightful lectures, delightful musical performances, engaging literary readings, an imaginative poetry contest featuring Chat GPT, and a bustling used book and goods sale.

The library was adorned with a captivating photo exhibition that depicted the rich history of Inha University, which is poised to celebrate its 70th anniversary next year. The exhibition spanned various areas within the event venue, encompassing the welcoming Jeongseok Memorial Library lobby, the immersive three-sided media content center known as I-MetaSpace, and the cutting-edge cyber library, aptly named Jeongseok Metaverse Library.

Since its inception in 2003, Jeongseok Memorial Library has been steadfast in its commitment to building an extensive and meticulously curated collection. As a result, it has emerged as a frontrunner among university libraries nationwide. In recognition of its exemplary contribution to the dissemination of academic knowledge, the Korea Council for Academic Information signed a partnership agreement with the National Assembly Library in 2018, bestowing upon the library the esteemed National Assembly Library Director Award, a mark of distinction for exceptional institutions.
