This year for Black History Month (BHM) the Cultural Diversity Group is fundraising for an amazing charity called New Dawn international.

Their mission is to transform vulnerable people’s lives by enhancing their potential for self-reliance through early education intervention, vocational training, and engagement in honourable and sustainable income generating activities.

The 3 main areas they are focus on are:

New dawn school – They have made a school for vulnerable children who would otherwise be without. They hire good quality teachers committed to education, they have a library with access to range of book and free lunch is provided.

New dawn sponsored children - The main purpose of sponsorship is to ensure children have access to an education. This allows them to have uniforms, school supplies and health and social care support.

Community outreach – They create activities to reach out to the local community, some currently on are; fighting period poverty, supporting the most vulnerable and savings group.
