ABOUT
We Love complex, technical, & professional interfaces. Interfaces that matter, and make the difference between failure and success, operated in abnormal environments and situations - in the air, under water, while driving or during a life and death mission.
In consumer web and apps, a shitty interface makes people frown and go look for a solution somewhere else - in professional & military Interfaces, it might cause them to die.
The best part in professional interfaces are the users, and where they are using their systems. We have flown helicopters and jets, scuba-dived in murky water, drove all kinds of machines and operated the strangest devices in extreme conditions, to better know and understand users.
We want to learn their operating environment and usage contexts, identify their problems, learn the current systems they use and how they use them, analyze their habits and mental models - finally trying to find the best solution for them.
Oh, and we're doing it for fun, too.

With our operational backgrounds as users of technical interfaces in extreme conditions at the IDF, and doing HMI, UX, UI, HCI projects with Israel's leading cutting edge technological bodies - IAI (Israel Aerospace Industries), Elbit, Elta, Oceania, and others, defining and designing complex interfaces - we know our domain.
If you are building the worlds next Facebook, Ebay or Angry Birds- we don't care. Buy a WorldPress template, find a student or some consumer web UX studio to help you.
But if you are building something meaningful, with real value, a product that really matters - a medical mobile app or device, an aviation system, a UAV control station, C4I interface, HUD for cars or a revolutionary underwater communication device - come talk to us.

With pro grade projects, we can't settle for anything less than pros. To be part of Kubiya's pro-team you should have a background as professional user of complex systems, a relevant degree, or have tons of proven experience defining, designing and flyin' em.
Kubiya was founded by Israeli Air force veterans, we have pilots, commando divers, UAV operators, C4I experts and others on our team.
All have a blend of professional background and relevant studies - design, psychology, human factors and more.

Are you an HMI, UX, HCI or UI pro?

Have at least 4 years of operational background in the military, search & rescue units, or other professional defense bodies, operating complex systems and interfaces?

AND hold a relevant university degree (Industrial or Graphic Design, Human Engineering, HCI, or other relevant degrees).

AND have at least 3 years of experience in a relevant role in the industry?
Kubiya holds a "Top Secret" clearance from the Israeli government, allowing us to take part in confidential projects across a wide range of systems and industries.
Kubiya is also the design partner of defence companies such as Elbit, Elta, Elop, IAI and others, with many of their projects being restricted.
