    🛢 🌎 Houston is Embracing the Energy Evolution ⛽🌻 Houston has long thrived on its oil and gas prowess. Just like the weather this weekend, the winds of change are palpable as the energy transition sweeps through the city. While there are plenty of challenges ahead, it is bringing new opportunities to the Bayou City's already diverse industry portfolio. The energy transition won't replace existing infrastructure - refineries, petrochemical plants, LNG exports, offshore and onshore production...it's all here to stay. Integrating new technologies to reduce emissions and propel sustainable growth is the actual reality. That's where new opportunities arise rather than replacing old ones. Carbon capture, hydrogen, decarbonization, electrification and renewable generation - will sit beside traditional oil and gas facilities, not replace them. Houstonians have a nuanced understanding of this. While the conversation on climate change is global, the energy transition will be driven by our local community. You may need to forgive other's naivety! Nearly 15,000 new jobs were added in the energy sector in 2023 in Houston alone. That is despite, most major projects not even getting to full funding.
