🛩️✨ Today marks the 120th anniversary of the Wright brothers’ historic flight, a moment that forever altered the world. From that hill in Kill Devil Hills, North Carolina, their invention sparked a new era of possibilities. 🌍 The Wright brothers’ achievement in 1903 laid the foundation for aviation. Interestingly, just a few years later in 1911, Lloyd’s of London wrote the first-ever aviation insurance policy. However, by 1912, after crashes and losses incurred due to adverse weather at an air meet, Lloyd’s temporarily ceased writing aviation policies. Reflecting on this journey—from the groundbreaking flight to the challenges in insuring this nascent industry—it’s a testament to the incredible evolution and resilience of aviation. Diving into the world of networking as a student has been like stepping onto a lively dance floor—it's both challenging and exhilarating. Yet, as I pushed past these initial hesitations and ventured beyond my comfort zone, a transformative realization unfolded—the power of active listening. Active listening, beyond merely hearing words, became my secret weapon. It's the key to unlocking rapport, forging connections, and mining insights from others' experiences in the networking realm.
