Humanoid Demo Difficulty Scorecard Level 1: Free motion. Standing, walking, waving arms. Level 2: Perturbed motion. Bumped, pushed, hit with a medicine ball. Level 3: Loaded motion. Carrying, lifting, pushing a lawnmower. Level 4. Constrained motion. Opening a door, putting a key in a lock, grating cheese. Level 5. Interactive motion. Using a power tool, steadying a wobbling machine, wrestling another humanoid. Add an extra Level if it's a live demo. This is a logarithmic scale; each level is 10 times harder than the last. You're probably going to be seeing a lot of humanoid demos over the next 12 months. Track how they measure up.

I wrote some code that I’m proud of and I want to share it around. sqlogging is a Python logging tool that writes log entries directly to a sqlite3 database. I wrote it to help me understand what goes on in simulations and machine learning code. Its strength is not in speed (It takes around 7 ms to write a record on my machine), but in making log data accessible. No JSON parsing, no fiddling with Pandas syntax. With SQL you can reach into your logs and pull out answers to your questions almost as fast as you can think them up.
