If I’ve learned one thing this year, with my brother passing away, and all the other ups and downs I’ve been through, it’s this:
❤️ Do more what you love- more of what you want to be doing
Earlier this week I had the pleasure of attending The Lloyds Bank British Business Excellence Awards as a guest of Andy Nisevic (thanks again Andy)
It reminded me (yet again) that I:
👥 Love getting out, socialising and meeting new people- With what I do, I can spend a lot of time behind a screen and on Zoom if I’m not careful
👔 Enjoy wearing a suit- Now and again I love suiting up.
🎉 Need to reflect and celebrate more- Both the little things, and the bigger wins.
Based on my conversations with huge numbers of accountants, bookkeepers and HR consultants over the years, the ‘do more of what you love’ learning is key for them too.
But I don’t want them to go through what I have this year to learn that.
❤️ Many offer their compliance work and build a business around it, but from the conversations I’ve had, they really love the bit that goes on top of the compliance work.
Where they’re able to provide the advice on top.
🚀 Because that’s where the value comes in for their clients, and that’s where their clients get the amazing results.
