I've been triggered online. I am sure you have been too. It can easily happen. And usually kicks off negative emotions. But here's what I do. It's a reframing tool called the 'Most Respectful Interpretation' (MRI). Here are 3 examples: 1) Trigger 👇👇 Someone cold sells in your DMs - with no context and no relevance (spamming). MRI -👇👇 Someone's job/future is on the line, needs the money, and is pressured to sell. — 2) Trigger 👇👇 Someone copies your post word for word without crediting you - (plagiarism). MRI 👇👇 Someone wants to be seen and doesn't know any other way. — 3) Trigger - 👇👇 Someone screenshots their success metrics (show off). MRI -👇👇 Someone wants to inspire others or is simply proud of their hard work and hopes others will be too. (BTW I'm all for this) --- The reframe is not always about what is true or not / right or wrong. It's about "you" feeling better about a given situation that would usually trigger a negative emotion. Because let's face it, often the only person we're affecting with negative emotions is ourselves. And if we can't change someone's actions, we can change the way we react to them. P.S.: I can't remember where I found this, but I thought to share it. Was it helpful? Then Like, comment and save for Later. Laura Osaze Solomon Welcome Back To being consistent here.
