𝐆𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐥𝐞 𝐛𝐲 𝐦𝐲 𝐟𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐝 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐨-𝐚𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐫 Rick Swegan The business press produces a constant stream of articles discussing organizational culture. We see almost daily messages about the challenges and dynamics of culture, as well as the growing emphasis on creating an ethical culture in organizations. With increased debate over environmental, social and governance investing, diversity, equity and inclusion integration, and taking a stand on other ethical issues, more attention is now being placed on ethics and culture. Why is that? On a side note: Thanks to David Ratner & team for promoting this 👍 #ethics #leadership #cumanagement

Less than half of brand leaders feel equipped to deal with critical ethical challenges and 65% say the potential impact of ethical issues could be existential to their business in the next 3-4 years. These shocking statistics show how CMOs are left paralyzed by ethical issues. Interbrand's group executive for Brand Integrity & Ethics, Christopher Nurko. ( He/Him/His ) says: “Today’s businesses can’t solely focus on the business itself. Neutrality across societal, political and economic crises is now seen as a failure of leadership.” How are ethical issues affecting your job in marketing? https://lnkd.in/ePUxttsT #marketing #ethics #ethicalmarketing

Culture is King. It’s eats strategy for breakfast. Whatever the cliche you might have heard…. it’s the truth. And focusing on your culture is not just a ‘nicey nicey’ thing to do: academic research points to the fact that a positive culture makes a big difference to your bottom line (University of Columbia’s Popadak, Graham et al and their work on ‘Corporate Culture - Evidence from the Field’ is a case in point) If building a strong, positive culture isn’t high on your priority list WHATEVER size or stage your business….push it up there.
#Culture #vision #values #purpose If you had asked me 15 years ago about the above words I would probably have said they were corporate bull. Fast forward to now and I feel they are the most important thing in any organisation. If everyone in the business understands the purpose, work to the values and can see the vision you have nailed the Culture. Interesting reading the below article where some top businesses are supporting implementing an ethical culture as a matter of urgency. #makesadifference

Harriet Green OBE, founder & philanthropist, reflects on the ethical responsibility organizations have in relation to the technologies they produce, use, and sell. Recognizing the ethical debate the technology sector continues to face with emerging technologies like Chat-GPT, Harriet emphasizes the need for organizations to have publicly available stated policies regarding ethical engagement with technology, to have clear measures through which to monitor such engagement, and to effectively communicate both successes and failures.
