Today, H2 Energy Europe joined a collaborative effort between Danish green hydrogen producers and suppliers and the German industrial off-take market by signing a joint declaration at the German-Danish Green Hydrogen Summit in Copenhagen, calling for political action to realise a connected German-Danish hydrogen pipeline by 2028. The declaration represents a commitment to a cleaner, net-zero emission future. Given Germany's substantial industrial hydrogen demand and the European target of achieving 10 million tons of renewable hydrogen production by 2030, the importance of robust leadership and collaboration is emphasised. During the summit, Julien Rolland, acting CEO of H2 Energy Europe, delivered a speech highlighting the significance of the proposed pipeline by 2028 for the development of our 1GW green hydrogen plant in Denmark. The German and Danish industries are prepared to meet the EU and national green hydrogen targets. The availability of competitive green hydrogen, at scale and on time, is crucial in realising the transition.
