What a great first session for Newton Careers Week! 🙌 🔥 In the 'Fire up your relationship building strategies' workshop, our alums, Caspar Gross and Kwabena Ansah, gave their fellow alums an account of their relationship building experience. Here's some key takeaways: 🚀 Depth over breadth: Deepen relationships rather than just expanding how many you have. Kwabs says having 50 quality conversations among 5 individuals is more effective than 50 high-level conversations with 50 individuals. Also, the quality of introductions and connections with interesting individuals matters more than quantity. 🚀 Scale curiosity, not just numbers: The aim of networking is actually to scale curiosity. Expanding your network is important, but so is maintaining genuine interest and curiosity in the people you meet. It's less about how many people you know, more about how well you know them. 🚀 Broaden your definition of networking: Networking isn't limited to professional or familiar circles. It could happen with strangers and could be driven by your shared passions - for Caspar this has been climate, EDI and space. By understanding what someone's passionate about, you can build a stronger and more authentic connection. A great session and it's got us all fired up for more tomorrow! #NewtonCareersWeek #BuildingRelationships #Networking
We're excited because today is the first day of Newton Careers Week! 🎉 To get us started, we're getting fired up over building relationships and we have our very own Newton alums to share their expertise and insights 💫 Big thanks to Caspar Gross and Kwabena Ansah for kicking off our first session 👏 See you at 12:00, Newton Alumni! 🚀

I’m so thrilled to be speaking on Wednesday, July 26th at the L&D Career Summer Camp - a week-long interactive and experiential virtual retreat designed to bring the fun back into your L&D career! We’ll talk about the neuroscience behind the feelings we experience and how we can overcome them quickly! Seriously, this lineup that Sarah Cannistra put together is so good. Tuning in for sure for Andy Storch and Al Dea! Putting the link to register in the comment. Use code megan15 to get 15% off! #learninganddevelopment #impostersyndrome #leadershipdevelopment
