PALM's decision to organize the fair this year results from the fact that there have been no lift fairs for 6 years and the lift industry expected the Polish Association of Lift Manufacturers, due to the dynamic development of the industry in recent years, to organize such a fair. Poland is one of the EU leaders in the area of economic development and stable economy. Poland is also one of the leaders in the use of EU structural funds in infrastructure development.  This situation has a huge impact on the stable development of the lift industry in Poland. After Poland's accession to the EU, the number of lift in operation doubled and currently amounts to approximately 150,000 units.  The number of newly installed lifts has also been similar for several years and amounts to approximately 8,000 units per year. Warsaw accounts for 30% of the lift market in Poland.  Warsaw is a city with a dynamic growth of high-rise buildings. Currently, in terms of these buildings, Warsaw ranks 4th in the EU. Several dozen new high-rise building projects are at various stages of implementation. In Warsaw, the tallest building in the EU is also put into operation in 2023, i.e. Varso Tower with a height of 310 m. We also have a large market with over 20,000 lift for modernization. he participation in Poland Lift EXPO will be the best opportunity to present your offer to the lift companies and investors in Poland. We chose Warsaw because 30% of the Polish lift industry is here and it is easy to access for exhibitors and investors visiting the fair. What an inspiring kickoff to the final leg of our #AlltechONE World Tour for 2023, right here in Dubai! Yesterday we delved deep into the heart of agriculture's pivotal role in addressing global challenges, setting the stage for the critical conversations that will take place at #COP28 this week. Our international attendees, representing 18 diverse nations, have shared incredibly positive feedback — and many participants are already making plans to attend future Alltech ONE events. We opened Alltech ONE Dubai with a conversation about the agriculture industry’s great potential to positively shape the future of our planet. Humanity is facing some of its greatest challenges ever: disease, climate change, geopolitical conflict, and navigating the responsible use of artificial intelligence. How do we manage agriculture, a business that must not fail, through these challenges? We must stay connected, provide nutrition for all, drive sustainable practices, help rural communities thrive and be positive for the planet. The good news: We can rise to the challenge when we work together. Tara McCarthy, our global vice president for ESG, shared the results of the 2023 Alltech Sustainability Insights Survey, which underscored our industry’s confidence and commitment to creating a more sustainable food system. An impressive 85% of respondents believe our food system can rise to the challenge. Success lies in innovative solutions and, more importantly, the industry's capacity to collaborate across the entire value chain. An exemplary illustration of this collaboration came from our keynote speaker, Sheikh Dr. Majid Al Qassimi, who explained how the UAE is making food and agriculture systems more equitable, accessible and sustainable. The UAE demonstrates its commitment to sustainability through numerous initiatives designed to enhance food security, implement resilient agricultural practices, improve production and help maintain vital ecosystems. Gerald Kiernan highlighted this commitment by sharing about Alltech's recent partnership with National Dairy Farms and Masakin Dairy Farms in the UAE, a collaboration that aims to bring cutting-edge carbon footprint benchmarking and methane-reducing technologies to the Middle East, contributing significantly to global sustainability goals. After a tremendously successful day one, we are eagerly anticipating what today holds. A heartfelt thank you to our exceptional team on the ground and those supporting this event from abroad.
