How to create button to open certain sheet in excel?
Sometimes we work with several sheets in a workbook at a time and for swift work you can use buttons to navigate different sheets. It might be useful when you are analyzing large number of data.
In this tutorial we will use buttons and hyperlinks to open certain sheets inside a workbook. This one is beginner level tutorial yet it can save a lot of time. Remember, I am using Microsoft Excel 2010 for this demonstration.
Now follow the steps below to create a button to open certain sheet. Let’s get started.
Step 1: First you’ll need a button and to create one you have to click “Insert” and Then “Shape”
Step 2: Select your preferred Shape and Draw it where it suits you.
Step 3: Give a name and right click on the button you just created.
Step 4: Select “hyperlink” and a new dialogue box will open.
Step 5: Click on “Place in this document” and click on the sheet name you want to open
Step 6: Click “OK” and your button to certain sheet is ready.

Something so simple as the # sign can contain so much power. It literally changes the way Excel programmers program Excel.
=XLOOKUP($B10#,ClientID,SalesData)
The formula above goes in one cell. It currently dynamically populates 750 cells. It grows and shrinks as needed. 1 formula or 750 formulas.
In this workbook, the first row of the reports and analysis has Dynamic Array Functions. All other rows are empty, no formulas, just the Spill Range.
Each time I use the # sign, I appreciate it even more.

I had a colleague once who would download a report with 60+ sheets with long default names. She'd spend 15+ minutes renaming them all. This fun exercise happened 2-3 times a week 😶. After using this, it took about 10 seconds AND it did more than just rename them!
